Gajah and BeOND are Los Angeles trio Acid Reign, presenting Losaka, their collaboration album with Osaka, Japan emcee Gebo featuring production from Nao-K, Kenny Segal, Mute Speaker, Willie Green, Le Parasite, EQ, Fantom Fangz, SR883 & No Earth, with additional remixes by Awkward & Duke Westlake, as well as guest appearances from Ariano, Onry Ozzborn, Graves 33, EQ, Joel St. Julian and Acid Reign member Olmeca. The album’s release comes on the heels of the release of the music video for first single “Humanimals” (watch). The title a merging of Acid Reign and Gebo’s respective hometowns of Los Angeles and Osaka, the collaboration was born while Acid Reign and Gebo recorded their first song together “Formula 3” on Gebo’s most recent trip to Los Angeles. Veterans of Los Angeles’ Project Blowed open-mic workshop, Acid Reign’s first full-length Acid Trip… A Journey To The… dropped in 1997 on cassette, followed by Ready Yet? in 2003 (link). Alpha Pup Records released Time & Change in 2006 (link), and Uncommon Records dropped Diversity (link). After starting Acid Lab Records, they dropped Synergy with Chrono Triggers from France (link). Acid Reign has shared the stage with KRS-One, Freestyle Fellowship, Kool Keith, Jeru the Damaja, Hieroglyphics and more. Losaka is out now on Acid Lab Records.
