“Not Cool” on CDBaby | Twitter [@thepackagedc] | Facebook | Bandcamp

Washington D.C. trio A.R.K. (Anthony, Richard and Keeyon) presents the Oocyn-directed music video for “Not Cool”, their new single from their forthcoming album Trials, Tribulations, Triumph, set to feature Laelo, Infinite, Lord Betta, Quadir Lateef and produced entirely by A.R.K. member Theory. Formerly known as The Package, A.R.K. is a DMV regional supergroup consisting of Noyeek the Grizzly Bear (whose former group Gifted Ingenuity was one of the first Virginia hiphop acts to sign a major label deal, with Mercury Records), Dimensions (founder of DC’s Infinite Loop, who was also in a group with Dead Prez’s stic.man at one time) and Theory (who landed on Source’s Unsigned Hype with his group Live Society). “Making Waves” (watch the video), a single from A.R.K.’s previous album New Golden Era (listen), became a staple on Peter Rosenberg’s Hot 97 show, and Peter also directed the subsequent music video. “‘Not Cool’ is a song about keeping things real in relationships,” says Theory. “These days, we keep our circle small so we know who we can trust. If that trust is violated, the relationship is terminated and like the hook says, “If you see me before I see you, keep on walking. You know we’re not cool!”
