Detroit-bred, Los Angeles-based rapper/songwriter/guitarist/producer Chris Jones a.k.a. Jonezen presents the Raul Perez-directed music video for “Peep Game”, his new 2 Deep-produced single from his upcoming LP Beautiful Disaster. “Peep Game” comes hot on the heels of Jonezen’s win at the Los Angeles Music Awards for Best Hip-Hop Artist. Told by doctors after an arrest that he may not live another year due to excessive drinking, Jonezen refused to go to rehab unless he could bring his recording studio. He found a treatment center in Los Angeles that would let him do just that and upon entering he began working on Live From Rehab. After leaving treatment Jonezen landed a distribution deal with Famous Records/ Fontana/ Universal. Jonezen recently signed with When Pigs Fly Entertainment, headed by industry vet Doug Goldstein (Guns ‘N Roses, Xzibit, Anthraz, Blind Melon) who calls Jonezen “the best pure songwriter I’ve encountered in years.” Jonezen just performed live on Janice Dickinson’s talk show Janice TV, and also shot a role performing one of his songs in the upcoming movie Buddy Hutchins starring Jamie Kennedy. Regarding “Peep Game” Jonezen says “”this one is on some straight bars with a banging beat. I tried to find a balance on this album and mix together every aspect of who I am as an artist”. Jonezen will open for Kurupt April 5 at the Treehouse in Los Angeles, and is also set to perform April 18th at the House Of Blues in Hollywood.
